Purpose To provide specially designed instruction to students identified with multiple disabilities. Disabilities include sensory impairment, moderate to severe cognitive impairment, moderate to severe communication impairment and significant medical needs.
Description Students receive academic and related services in the classroom for most of the instructional day. Opportunities to be included with typically developing peers are determined by the ARD/IEP committee. Focus is on communication, literacy, challenging behaviors, skill generalization and daily living skills.
